Ik heb de laatste tijd iets met hoofdjes, ik schijn niet verder te komen dan dat. Komt misschien ook omdat mijn voorraad huidskleurige wol bijna op is en ik dus eerst flink wat wol moet verven om er een heel lijf van te maken. Ach ja nog even wachten op een lijf dus maar ;0)

Last night I started needlefelting while watching TV. Halfway the night I was planning to trash it because I thought it was going nowhere. But I went on a little further and right before I was planning on going to bed I saw lines appearing... ofcourse I went to bed way too late. When I finally did got to bed it was far from finished and looked more like a boy.

And today, since I don't "work" on wednesday and there also weren't any courses to give as well, I allowed myself to keep on needlefelting and somewhere in the middle he became a she. Right now the head is finished completely, she's got an other hairstyle and what I used to look as hair in these pictures, is turned into a hat. Unfortunately no photo's from that stage yet because it already was to dark when I finished it.

Now my main concern is what to do next. Am I going to needlefelt the total body or just the hands and feet and make the rest out of ready-to-use felt instead... haven't figured it out just yet.

I'm so proud to be mentioned on Anabel's very inspirational site: fieltromania. Especially since at the moment I'm so busy building websites I don't seem to have any time left to do some serious felting.

I did made two new rosepins and two bird-keyrings.

Robbie is a little gnome I made to send out to Monica, because I received such beautiful drawings from her as well.

Normally I find it too hard to send out one of my needlefelt figures. They take a lot of time to make and during the process I get to attached to them. Therefor it's pretty special she will receive it so soon after I finished it.

I hope he will bring her lot's of happiness and smiles.

This rooster goes with the chicken I made a while back. I think I will make some kind of shadowbox to display them.

The rooster and the two chickens I made earlier are tiny, therefore a little bit of draught will blow them over.

There's space for at least 6 little chocolate-eggs. Ofcourse it also can be used to keep pins or other little treasures or simply as an nice object to look at!

I'm starting to get in easter-mode, this little easterbox has space for about 6 chocolate eggs.

For a while now I had this idea in my head to needlefelt a realsize cat. This morning I visited Bella Dia and saw Raymond and got inspired...

Yesterday I visited Hillary Langs "Wee Wonderfuls" and saw these felteggs she received from a friend. I loved the way the felted eggs were embroidered and so I've embroidered one of my larger eggs and am pretty happy with the result.

I also decided this ones up for trade and I would love to have some quiltfabric in return preferable in the colorrange used in my blog. So if your interested leave a comment. First commenter is going to be the lucky owner of this one, others may get lucky later ;0)

Take a bit of wool in nice colors, a felting needle and not shown but preferable a punchingmat. Take a wisp of wool, roll up en start punching it with the feltingneedle over and over... until a nice eggshape appears. Take little wisps of different colors and punch it right into the place you want it. Use your imagination for a nice color-combinations and attach a little bit of rope for hanging and maybe some beads for extra decoration.

I've spent to much time behind my computer lately. Working late hours so not going to bed in time and so now I'm pretty tired and in need of some rest. Everyone in my family came down with the flew the last couple of weeks and since I haven't and intending to keep it like that I decided to order myself to relax this weekend, although an hour of two to read some blogs and write a message is allowed ;0) Since needlefelting is one of the things that makes me super-relaxed, that's what I have been doing .I started working on this little sheep yesterday and finished it this morning.

This is an easterbunny I've been working on... he's in desperate need of some eggs ;0)

And yet another

Don't you hate those days... You wake up early, it's Sunday-morning wich means you could sleep say until eleven or so (well at least a bit longer than usual), but you just can't sleep anymore even if you want to?

This morning was just like that. I woke up at 7.30 and my mind kept spinning and spinning and so I got out of bed and started the day needlefelting the lady at the side. It took me 5,5 hours to finish her. And I'm still not sure she finished since she doesn't have a set of udders. What you think shall I add them or not?

And when I opened my mailbox this afternoonI found an email from Myra telling me I could participate in the postcardswap. I'm so :0))

In between everything else I am working on a little clown. At first I though it was going be a clown-guy but it more and more feels like it should be a girl so instead of a parthly bald head I added more hair and ponytails. Not sure yet if she will get trousers or a skirt...

I also am a bit sad about missing My little Mochi's - postcard swap. I had so much fun the last time but because of the overwhelming response she closed it up early. Maybe I should start up a swap myself for those who (like me) were to late to participate. What do you think?

I finished "Manuel" , he's 40cm (16") tall with a big belly and small feet.
the picture was taken outside in my garden when it was snowing. We normally don't have much snow and when we do it doesn't last long ;0( So now we do have a bit of snow outside just enough to give us a bit of holiday spirit...

"He's got a hat, a kerchief around his neck and a big belly but the poor fellow doesn't have arms and legs yet...

Friday I went to the Antroposofic centre to look for some matching red wool, because I didn't have enought to finish Santa's clothes. I bought the wool I was using in France during our holiday in August, so that made it a bit difficult to find the exact right match. But they did have a red that was darker and one that was a bit lighter and when I carded both together, it resulted in a shade that almost matched the one I was using. Lucky me...

I also started needlfelting a face and I wasn't satisfied with the looks at first, but today I sat down for a while to work on it some more and I actually couldn't stop. I started seeing a face in my head and in my hands, that for me belonged to a cook. I bet it's got something to do with me being in designer-mode for the restaurant business, since I'm busy designing a menu and website for a tea-room. And when Albert came home he told me he thought it looked like Manuel, the Spanish waiter from one of our all time favourite British comedies: Fawlty Towers. When he said it I could only think he was right. so I'm going to name this one Manuel and he's got a promotion ;0)

Hi there...you know me don't you? Ofcourse you do.. I'm Santa. But I'm afraid I'm in a bit of awkward position, because due to a lack of free time she hasn't finished my official red suit yet. So here I am sitting in my boxers waiting to get my clothes and developing a cold or even worse if she doesn't finish them fast ;0)

Santa is 13" tall with movable arms and legs and needlefelted from homedyed wool. I have big plans with him but for now I just settle with finishing his suit ;0)
