From the moment I started the wet-felting I wanted to try to make a wet-felted olmie. He turned out a bit smaller than the others. And although it was a lot of hard work I liked him. He's got a needlefelted little yellowbird and the only thing I absolutely dislike is the color of his face. If I make another one again I have to dye my own wool to get a natural skincolor first.

I was just thinking last night that it looked as though you had given up on needlefelting and that your fingers were probably very happy about that...then I checked your weblog tonight and there's a felted olmie. I don't know how you manage...or when you find the time...but he's great!

Hi Barb,
Thanks for commenting and no I haven't given up on needlefelting. It's just that I'm so busy with other stuff right now that I can't seem to find time.
The other problem is I always have some sort of creative periods. One time I do a lot of needlefelting and sometimes I start crocheting again, lately it was making dolls due to Morpfe II.
I'm more of a textile artist with a main interest in everything concerning wool. I simply love wool because I think it's one of the most wonderful materials there is, because there are so many ways to use it.
I'm constantly looking for ways to combine different skills. I call it my creative search and hopefully sometime I find the right combination that works for me so I can stick by one artform but maybe I'm just kidding myself ;0)
Oh and bye the way, this one isn't even needlefelted it's wetfelted with soap and water only his little birdie is needlefelted :0)

You did it! It looks great. I like how organic the bottom is, it is so like a tree growing into the ground.
