I love my bike
This afternoon I was using my brother in law's car to drive Sander to his halfyear hearing check-up at the hospital in Amsterdam. Somehow I forgot to turn off the lights. I needed to be inside for almost an hour and a half and since it's pretty cold at the moment, forgetting a thing like that isn't something you should do right now. So here's what happened next....
Car wouldn't start...I call roadservice....lady on the phone tells me to go to some corner to wait for help and I will get a call on my cellphone when help is about to arrive...I wait for almost an hour with my cellphone in my hand. No one calls and no one arrives. Than yippee I see the roadservice approach I start waving at him...and see him leaving again! So I'm thinking that's not the guy that suppossed to help me and I simply need to wait a little longer..Be patient Marieke help is on the way...
After half an hour I start thinking "what's taking them so long?", so I call again and they tell me I wasn't at the checkpoint, they called but I didn't answer my cellphone and therefore the guy called it off. Appearantly they noted the wrong number... so sorry but we will send someone right away. And yes someone does arrive within half an hour, but before helping me he first needs to help this other lady at the same parking lot because she called in first (right before my second call). So to make it final...
We waited two and a half hours for a guy that helped us start the car in about one minute. This is one of those moments where I remember why I like my bike so much ;0)
